They just know what to do. Like Savannah here. She's finishing up her senior year of high school and needed headshots for her college applications. Obviously, she's gorgeous. But that's not what made my job super easy. Savannah, though she'd never taken headshots before, had a lot of (humble) confidence and it shows! Well done, my dear.

 

richter family portraits

I had the pleasure of photographing the Richter family last week. Typically during a shoot I'll wait for moments of spontaneous laughter or loving looks between family members to snap a shot but on that day it was all I could do to catch 1/1000 of a second when these folks weren't laughing or yucking it up - it was awesome. Meredith is a senior this year at HCHS and we ended up having a mini senior portrait shoot toward the end. As you can see, she was easy to photograph. Such a treat!

Alysha will be graduating next spring from HCHS. She's a stellar gal with fabulous style. I had a great time in Montrose with her. Thanks for braving the heat, my dear. And congrats on your senior year!

It's senior portrait season, folks. Here are a few favs from the past week. There are a few more sessions before May rolls around. I might post some winners from those as well. I might not. I guess you'll just have to wait to find out. Take that.

Love shooting in Montrose. There are tons of great textures to work with; huge trees, overgrown yards and poorly paved sidewalks and streets. Plus, Taft St. Coffee is a great place to snag a beverage before or after your shoot. (or before and after as the case may be).
